LOK.STUDIO Update Volume 10

Dear Devotees,

Please accept my obeisances.  All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Today we are fortunate to have the association of a senior disciple of His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja, His Grace Jita Mitra Prabhu with us.  Jita Mitra Prabhu is one of the great sources of inspiration for me in Krishna consciousness.  He guided me very carefully while I was a new bhakta in the early 1990s.  We met at Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi Mandir, East of Kailash in New Delhi.  Today, Jita Mitra Prabhu read a beautiful chapter in Hindi from the scriptures about Lord Krishna’s Avatar in LOK.STUDIO.  The book’s name is Mahoba Me Krishna Avatar, by His Grace Jitamitra Prabhu!

LOK.STUDIO Update Vol. 9

Dear Devotees,

Please accept my obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

We are blessed to receive H.H. Sundar Chaitanya Goswami Maharaja (from Mauritius) here at LOK.STUDIO. During a studio tour, Maharaja and I recorded a unique kirtan. The recording is below. Please have a listen. Radio Mayapur is considering using this music for their station identification breaks.

Our website, LOK.MEDIA, with the help of LOK ARCHIVES, now hosts the LOK.LIBRARY – 3.99 GB of H.H. Lokanath Swami Maharaja’s kirtans and bhajans, and some additional material.

Now available; for free download! Please avail of this excellent opportunity here:  https://lok.studio/.

We have posted the Wall of Devotion outside LOK.STUDIO with the names of many of our donors. On April 28, H.G. Jagannatha Krpa Prabhu, head of ISKCON Pandharpur Bhaktivedanta Gurukula, conducted a yajna in their names.

Vishvambhar Prabhu from the Mayapuris was kind enough to send some construction materials and guitar strings from the USA. He may be coming to visit LOK.STUDIO next winter.  Our speakers, which needed some repair work, have been fixed in Pune by our dear friend Nitin Chandrachud, who used to run the sound system for H.H. Lokanath Swami Maharaja’s Pune Bhagavat Kathas in the early 2000s. May Lord Krishna bestow upon them eternal devotion unto His Lotus Feet.

Your servant,

Sri Krishna Chaitanya Swami

LOK.STUDIO Report:

H.H. Lokanath Maharaja has engaged HG Prahlad Prabhu (ISKCON Pandharpur Temple President) and HG Krishnabhakta Prabhu (ISKCON Maharashtra Zonal Supervisor) in the LOK.STUDIO project as consultants and facilitators for the project.  We have begun weekly conference calls, along with HG Sri Krishna Bhajan Prabhu, our Conractor, and have high hopes that the project will be complete as soon as possible.

Lockdown is more relaxed now.  We are planning to resume work in the studio this week with completion of the AC installation, and installing polycarbonate windows in the protective shed around the outside of the studio. We have purchased the polycarbonate and it should be arriving soon.  Sujit, our carpenter who has been working in Pune on the studio desk, made from Birch Plywood, sent some photos.  It is starting to look nice.

Amit Prabhu, our site supervisor, is planning to return to Pandharpur this week.  He has also been given the charge of looking after the laborers to make sure there is no inconvenience in their stay with us.

Hare Krishna!  Welcome to LOK.MEDIA Monday Vol. 5.  In this issue, we share the latest developments in ISKCON Pandharpur, our preaching activities, website, and LOK.STUDIO.

LOK.STUDIO:  Maharashtra is the number one COVID hotspot in the world.  For safety sake, we have sent our carpenters home until the current full lockdown is over.  Before they left, they built our custom ceiling tiles, which next need to be filled with polyester batting, and fitted into our ceiling grid.  We painted the interior of the studio a nice indigo blue, and outside a bright magnolia.  Amit Prabhu, our site supervisor and I began work on planning our wiring – electrical, data, and audio.  We are working to complete the wiring planning over the course of the next  week or so.  We have incorporated Aputure MC RGB lights into H.H. Lokanath Swami Maharaja’s online japa presentations, lighting up Tulasi devi in a variety of colored hues.  Shopping is going on to upgrade Jagannath Prabhu’s laptop with a new hard drive and additional RAM.  We are also shopping for a teleprompter and planning a new internet infrastructure.

Sanyasa Video:   We joined hands with HG Anant Vrindavan Prabhu, one of ISKCON’s premier creatives, who is helping us with the creative concepts and editing of the condensed version (6 and ½ minutes) of the Sri Krishna Chaitanya Swami sannyasa video.  We are planning for a version suitable for distribution to both devotees and non-devotees.  We shot additional B Roll sequences with Ajit Prabhu from LOK.ARCHIVES of the Chandrabhaga River, and additional scenes around ISKCON Pandharpur.

LOK.MEDIA website:  Information about Sri Krishna Caitanya Swami’s Sannyasa is on our homepage:  https://lok.studio/We have booked a new web domain, skcswami.com and plan to shift all of the media about the sannyasa to this new domain.  Meetings are going on to plan how to develop this new website, soon to be under construction.

Guru Dakshina is being collected here:  https://lok.studio/donation/  Please donate to support our efforts.

LOK.STUDIO:  We have purchased a professional light and light dome.  H.H. Lokanath Swami Maharaja is using this light for his morning japa sessions and japa talks.  For the first time, viewers online have a clear darshan of all the transcendental features of Maharaja’s face, especially his beautiful, soft and compassionate eyes.  We have started painting the studio.  Work is in progress on the electricity and wiring.

Sannyasa Video:  We uploaded the live video feed of Sri Krishna Caitanya Swmai’s Sannyasa Initiation here:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sz_ouNQSGPY
